Dixon Bate tow bar

Hi
I need to fit a Dixon Bate type (Ball and Jaw) tow bar on my Land Rover. The ball must be compatable with the Alco hitch on my caravan. I can pick up a Dixon Bate one suitable for an Alco hitch at around £130.
Does anyone know of an extended ball and jaw tow bar make that is a tad cheaper? It must be 3.5 tonnes as I will be using the jaw pin to tow a recovery dolly.
Or have a second hand Dixon Bate one they can sell?

I’m not aware of any that meet your specification but Dixon Bates do have an excellent reputation and as you need to tow up to 3.5 tonnes I think I would stick with DB as the price doesn’t seem at all expensive. You don’t say what Land Rover but there are a couple on EBay for Defenders.

I have a Dixon bate Shock Link with an ajustable fixing plate that was used on a Discovery with towball but not the Jaw one. Any use please ask Mods to send you my info.

Personally I would not want to risk a cheaper alternative when safety is at stake. In life you tend to get what you pay for. To me £130 is not a lot to pay for peace of mind.
