The value of a house, car, boat, caravan, etc is only what someone is prepared to pay for it. It's the buyers that "determine" prices, not sellers.

For all your "buyers" know you may have inflated the price

Lolly to a certain degree Roger is correct where he has stated that the value of an object is not the asking price but what a prospective purchaser is prepared to pay. An antique hanging on the wall is worthless until one intends to realise the value of it. I must say however I do not think the remainder of his reply is necessary as he is not aware of the individual circumstances relating to the sale, etc.

Yes, I fully agree with the statement that an object is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, it was the rest of his comment that upset me.
