Us sane individuals do know that every particle and anti-particle that exists has an affect on all the others. Denying this is similar to denying gravity or tides.

The problem faced is understanding what the effects are.

I suspect there is "bad luck". Towing down a long very narrow lane to a five van site we meet a combine towing its header coming the other way, I feel that has to be "bad luck".

I was thinking the same thing about bad luck put the table lamp light bulb on in our walk in wardrobe last night and next minute a bang and sockets had all gone off check fuse box put that back on .(does that normally happen or do i need a sparky to check it)

Put a new bulb in and check it again. If it still blows try another lamp/device in the socket. If it’s okay it’s your table lamp. If not could be socket.

Put a new bulb in and check it again. If it still blows try another lamp/device in the socket. If it’s okay it’s your table lamp. If not could be socket.

Hi Clive tried another bulb and lamp same thing happen again so we are thinking when the bungalow was rewired some years ago it must have been missed . but thanks for your input .

Might be a simple issue with the socket. If you are not confident then get an electrician in to test the house circuits. We have it done at 6 yearly intervals for our daughter.

I am convinced that we broke the largest mirror on the planet and the shrapnel from the mirror killed dozens of spiders. On Wednesday as a treat we decided to lash out and buy a piece of the finest fillet steak. We found a piece of steeak that was over an inch think and vacuum packed.

Last night decided to have the steak for supper and use the Opti grill which cooks steak to perfection. On taking out the steak out of the vacuum pack it still looked nice and thick. I put it on the grill and surprisingly within minutes the grill indicated the steak was ready. We thought that perhaps we had used the wrong setting as it has gone from Green to Red instead of going through a sequence of colours like normal. Each colour indicate the stage of cooking.

Anyway opened the grill and the former over an inch think finest steak was less than 1/2 inch thick and the flat surface had doubled and steak was tasteless. Moral of the story is do not buy meat from a supermarket, pay the extra and buy from a butcher! Lesson learnt.

We have a problem with butchers. There aren’t any in Chippenham, or even Trowbridge the county town. Nearest butcher is Melksham, where we do go, but the quality has been mixed, so we don’t use him any longer. There’s a top class one in Devizes , Walter Rose, otherwise it’s local farm shops which are excellent, and offer low interest PCP. So our meats come from Sainsbury Taste the difference range, or M&S, Waitrose equivalent range, all of which are very near and convenient for the weekly shop.

Stroke of bad/good luck last night. Went fishing last night, got into river, took my bonnet of to wipe forehead and ping! Left hearing aid straight into water! Retrieved it,wet arm length depth and removed battery, back home put it in cup of rice overnight. This morning put battery in and unbelievable it is working OK. Think I will try the lottery this weekend.

Actually we buy a lot of meat from a farm shop local to us and the meat is very nice, however the fillet is normally out of a our reach. However now we know why it was within our reach. LOL! 🤣

We have a farmers market once a month where we watch the gullible empty their wallets buying Artisan (stale) bread and vegetables (twice the price of the greengrocers because they haven't been washed), not forgetting the Indian food stall selling supposedly authentic foods that have been mass produced in a factory on an industrial estate in the West Midlands. OK, slightly tongue-in-cheek but while I do love a good butchers/fishmongers for decent meat/fish, some of the street-markets really do offer produce at inflated prices that isn't any different to the supermarket offerings.

We used to go to Tewkesbury market most Saturdays, but now many stalls have priced themselves so if we go twice a year just for a change it is a lot. Local to us there is a street market outside a country pub. Went once and the prices were eye watering so never bothered going again.

We always endeavour to buy British meat and produce where we can. At Christmas my wife does use a local farm shop especially for the uncooked gammon joint, beef rib, and leg of lamb, plus locally produced cheeses. Ordinary street markets we don’t use, but occasionally will go into Bath, or Stroud for their weekend market, but as above more for the trip out. Plus they accept Klarna🙈
