Boringly, just "Lunar" to distinguish it from the Bailey and Ace we had previously - and it's "my car" not "our car" !!!

I for one simply cannot comprehend why some people insist on "naming" inanimate objects such as cars, caravans, boats motorhomes etc.
I will now confess that mine does indeed have a name that we both use........
"The Caravan"

When we toured with friends we used walkie talkies. They had a Bessacarr, therefore Bessie. We had an Abbey. Was not a great idea as you had to be within a few yards of each other to get reception.

Abbey, over and out.

Also why do people apportion a gender to inanimate things they are not a he or a she but definitely just an "it"
When doing repairs or adjusting movers is the only time that I have given our van a few "choice" names

My satnavs are always "she" as I select female voices - to feel less guilty when I ignore them!

My wife used to name cars based on registration letters. HRY was Henry, AUD was Audrey etc. I just don’t have the inclination!

A neighbouring couple, who are both retired police officers, seem to name their neighbours cars according to mnemonics they used in the force, so my WFDnnnC was Wild Flying Duck.
