We've done Portsmouth/Caen, and then Dol de Bretagne - it's an easy journey, good roads, and straightforward. The campsite is well signposted and access is good, no narrow lanes, or bad corners. Eurocamp's route planners are usually excellent, so you should have no problems. We were there several years ago, with two friends, and our two teenage boys, who loved it - there are a lot of British people there, it's very popular with operators like Eurocamp, Keycamp, Canvas Holidays, etc. Are you staying in Eurocamp accommodation, or taking your own? The Eurocamp mobiles tend to be together in one section, but if you're taking your own equipment then there's a lovely paddock area to the side of the cricket pitch (yes there is one) at the front (or back - depending on which way you're looking at it) of the Chateau. We had two pitches in there, our caravan, and our friends on the next pitch, and it was just idyllic. We had the whole paddock (five pitches) to ourselves!

I haven't been there for a few years, but the restuarant on site is good. If you go have the gillets, make sure you have the cider to drink with it they go very well. You can have steak and chips (typically english) anytime.
