Did you consider the hob is actually an integral part of the whole cooker?

This drawing will show you the component parts. Most are easily accessed with the cooker pulled out , removed from its normal position.

This is fraught with safety issues like gas joints and flues.
With all due respect, and I’m the first for diy, some things are best left to a qualified caravan gas engineer.
You sleep in a small confined box and any gas leaks or Carbon Monoxide will, kill you before you wake up.

Alarmist? Yes but it is your call and at least you know the potential dangers,
Hope you get it sorted.

The hob plate is usually part of the main chassis so it's a major stripdown to remove it . Usually the thermocouple is replaced by removing the side plates As Dustydog says working on the oven comes under the Gas safety ( installation and use) Regulations 1998 and does require an trained ,certified ( not certifiable) engineer ( but not necessary a gas safe one for mobile caravans) to work on Gas appliances, even pulling the oven forward may induce a gas leak in the gas connections and the gas system would need fully testing after refitting.
