Dordogne near Perigeux

We are 2 families with children with ages 7-15 and are thinking of camping near Perigeux and visiting friends in the village of Venteillac. Any ideas of campsites and the areas suitablity for children would be well recieved. Ive always wanted to visit this area but would the kids get bored and too hot! They are used to beach holidays in the south of france. Thanks in advance .

We have stayed on a lovely quiet site near Sarlat. It has a lovely pool, but no slides etc. A small bar with a Tv for football and some entertainment in the high season. It is on the river for canoeing and near caves.

The family are very friendly and speak english, look it up on the web. camping capeyrou.

I stayed at La Paradis on the Vezere, one of the best holidays i have had, the site was almost perfect, very good food in the restaraunt and very nice staff.
