Hi can anyone shed some light on why my awning is so drafty? I have looked around at some awnings on caravans and they seem almost sealed, my awning is an NR executive and there seems to be some cord missing from the last two feet eitherside, however on speaking to someone about it they told me it should be like that and that I should pull it tight and peg it down, hasnt really helped matters, am I just being soft and need to learn to rough it more??? Any light would be helpful

thanks Lizzie

Geg it pegged down well and we alays have velcro sewn to the Caravan skirt ends and the awning so that the skirt seals to the awning. Done at first to stop our dogs sneaking out but then to stop the drafts on damp cool Cornish summer nights ;-)

hi lizzie

you dont say wether you have got a internal or external skirt on the awning it does make a difference because a internal skirts can be fixed under the ground sheet making it draught proof an external one can't but as chris said peg it down tight and you should see the difference you can also increase the number of pegs to fasten it down with by fitting extra eyelets

Hi thanks for the advice so far, tryng not to seem dim here but what is the difference between external and internal skirts? my skirt is one which is actually slightly longer than the caravan and runs along the channel at the bottom, it is not attached to the awning. Lizzie
