Nice car and worthy successor to the outgoing model. But are the 2.0 diesel figures correct. 161and 168 bhp?

Looks nice but need to persuade the other half it is just what we need.

They are a nice motor, test drove one a while back, in the end however I opted for the new BMW 530 Touring, Time will tell if I’ve made the right choice.

I seem to remember there was a Volvo that a lot of people were complaining about with some stability issues. It was to do with the air flow off the back of the car and the way it then hit the caravan. I wish I could remember which one it was.

On paper and driven solo probably an excellent tow car.

Hi and thanks for posting. We understand your frustrations. However, we can't always get test cars with tow bars, nor do we have the time, facilities and man-power to do full tow tests of every car, so by doing 'First drive' features as well as full tow car reviews, we can cover more makes and models of cars, arming readers with more information when they're buying their next tow car. We try to test them with towing in mind and we gather all the data we can regarding weights and so on, both of which you don't tend to get in 'regular' new car roadtests.
