Drumshademuir Caravan Park, Kirriemuir

Hi, we are thinking of booking this site for a long weekend next month.

Anyone been recently, particularly interested in the cleanliness of the facilities and places of interest in the local area.

Thanks in advance for any response.

Hi, nice site just outside Kirriemuir. Toilets faciities great and very clean, kids park a bit small but ok. quite a few tourers sited on best pitches last year?. you are close to glamis castle very nice, also Perth and Dundee.

We were there with freinds last year, the toilets were very clean, the shower pressure was a bit low I thought but from memory there are two seperate blocks so I might have been that ours were always busy. The warden was very freindly and was always helping people with his tractor to reverse onto their pitches. The site has an onsite small Bar which serves great food and you can get all the meals as a takeaway if you have little ones sleeping in the caravan. The site is just off a busy road but no road noise could be heard on our pitch, you will need your car to explore the area. Remember to visit Visocchi's excellent ice cream shop in the centre of Kirriemuir and there is a pretty pub close to the castle entrance in Glamis. Overall a nice little site for a long weekend. You should also have a look in by the site at Lochside in Forfar which is council run, the warden and his wife are great and the toilet blocks are spotless, a very nice walk can be had round the loch and there is plently of little shops and bars within a 10 min walk.
