We have a 2012 Elddis Odyssey 462 and try as I might I cannot get the front to even an average shine.
I have tried autoglym super resin polish which I have always sworn by and Canuba wax to no avail.
Does anyone know of a trick or magic product that could give my front panel a bit of a lift?
the rear panel shines like glass.

It’s possible that the front panel is grp, not abs which the rear panel will be. If it is grp you need a specialist polish but go easy as the “shiny” gel coat isn’t as deep as the one found on cars or boats. This link was discussed in PC.

To get the very best result as proven by the number of very pleased owner, contact Tourershine.

Have a look at his website for some idea of the results he gets.

I’m booked with tourershine for 14th May, he does a brilliant job, it’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny and he’s a nice bloke as well, I sold my Avondale 2 or 3 years after he got it looking shiny and it still had a shine.

I have no doubt that Tourershine do a very good job, but being as I am now retired and have a lot of time I was hoping to do the job myself.
I have looked at Meguiars but the products seem a bit severe.

We used Meguirs 3 step on our caravan and it was brilliant, but our front panel was not dull.

To cut back the weathered surface has to require an abrasive polish of some sort. I used Autoglym which required two applications by hand and it improved it but by no means did it shine like the rest of the exterior panels. More a sheen.

Hi if there a caravan dealer near to you ask them what they recommend using they might give you options.

There are times when it is not realistic to DIY a job and I suggest that the front panel of a large white box is not the time to start trying , using possibly unsuitable products and not having the equipment to do it to a high standard.

You could end up spending a considerable amount of money and time and end up with a worse situation than you have now.

Just going to persevere with the autoglym for now and accept the finish I think.

Just as an aside the man across the road is walking up and down on his old Bailey cleaning the roof with a mop and a pressure washer!
unbelievable!

On my previous Avondale I tried loads of lotions and potions, autoglym, meguirs, all sorts, from cheap and cheerful to last resorts expensive types in the hope it might finally get a decent shine all to no avail, not so much as a hint of a shine, if I could have got it looking half decent I’d have been happy but nothing, I finally got the professional guys in, he was there for about 6 hours, as I said before when he finished I could see the reflection of the clouds above, from then onwards all I ever used was warm water with some cheap car wash additive, the water just ran off and was still shiny when I sold it which was at least a couple of years later, I called them to come and do our present caravan which is 2 1/2 years old knowing that I’d have an easy life, he told me that he expected it to look even better than when it left the factory, if I could have as easy a life without the cost I’d jump at the chance, I spent about an hour and a half yesterday using Aldi and it looked ok but the difference will be ok or wow.

Nothing wrong with using a pressure washer if you use common sense.

I was more aghast at him strolling up and down the roof! I know they are supposed by many to stand it but why would you risk it?
