Hi Annie. I'm sorry but I don't know the answer. However I am sure that someone else on here had this problem.. I tried a search but got nothing. Perhaps someone else will remember. Hope you get it out.

hi Annie, in the middle 'ish section of the dvd draw there should be a little hole you may have to look for it!! shove a pin into the hole and the draw should partly open, this is a override button, then just pull the draw out, and retrieve the disc, try another disc and if the same happens then the dvd player is faulty,

I can't suggest how to get a stuck DVD out but I think the previous post is talking about the way you would get a DVD out of a computer DVD player draw. My Avtex TV only has a slot like the CD player on a car radio and no draw. I would suggest you contact Avtex support. You can find the by Googling Avtex.

Hi Annie
We have a 2009 California with an Avtex TV. The DVD is a separate "Veba" brand unit that is a combined radio/CD/DVD player so I don't know whether yours is the same. The Veba unit has a drop-down facia and CDs/DVDs are loaded into a slot behind (not a tray as with some players). Unfortunately there is no hole to poke in a straightened paperclip or similar to release the CD/DVD nor is there any mention of an emergency release in the users' handbook.
Sorry I can't be more helpful (and fingers crossed that it doesn't happen to me!!)

Hi, if your disk is still stuck then maybe this will help, I had same with a cd in car player and it worked for me, ok get a piece of fresh crisp paper, not too thick but doesn't want to be too tissue like, so try to push the paper into the slot where the disk go's in, the paper wants to be about two thirds the width of the disk, try first to get the paper on top of the disk and try ejecting it then if it fails try getting the paper underneath, often if they get stuck its because of labels coming off copy disks and sometimes you find the edges of the disk get slightly damaged and are just catching, got to be worth a try as its free to give it a go.
