Can anyone tell me why the 10amp breaker keeps on tripping in the fuse box, we use one of these new rapid boil kettles and it will trip just using that and is it possible tp upgrade the fuse box from a 10amp to 15amp breaker.

If it is similar to ours at home it is rated at 2.9 kw, which means it is drawing roughly 12 amps when running-2900watts divided by 240 volts=12 amps resulting in popping 10 amp circuit breaker. Most mains kettles sold for caravan use are 800,900 or 1000 watts which equeals approx 4 amps allowing you to run electric heater, microwave, watch tv & boil kettle all at the same time!It only takes an extra couple of minutes to boil, so she who must be obeyed says i've got time to fill aquaroll whilst i'm waiting!!

tomtit we have the same van, you cannot just change the breaker as the wiring may be the wrong rating for a 15 amp, i will post again over the weekend and let you know(am at work at the moment)
