Elddis Avante tyres

I have just bought a 2004 Elddis Avante 542 with no manual.I

I am not sure the tyres are the right size. What size should they be?

Also, what is the correct tyre pressure?

Thanks

Is there a label near your caravan door. They give tyre size and pressure. Alternatively look at the tyre size and load index. Then check the load index load, double it and the doubled weight should as a minimum equal or exceed your caravans maximum weight, it’s MTPLM. Here is a list of Load Index versus tyre maximum load.

Thank you.
I could not find a label about tyres, just the plate outside with empty weight and MTPLM.

The Eldiss 2003 and 2005 Manuals are available from the Caravan Archive, but not free.

According to the details that I have managed to come up with, the tyres on an Elddis Avante 524 (I presume you meant 524 and not 542) are 195/70 R14 95 and the tyre pressure 65psi.

You don't have to stick with 195 tires if you can't source them. 185 with suitable loading rating will work, its what I had to do. NB tire pressure will be higher, see tire charts online.

Just check load rating on tires after they have been fitted. In my case one was wrong ie to low, luckily I checked.

185 will have slightly smaller diameter ie 10mm which is only issue if you have motor movers. They will need to be adjusted.

Rather than check the load rating after they have been fitted it would be better to check with the fitter before he fits them.

There are several websites including Black circles advertising 195/70/14 tyres for trailers with Load Index of 96 or higher at 102. See Lutz post. But in the absence of any further feedback from the OP there’s not much anyone can do to help. My post #7 refers.
