Elddis Van

Can I just use your Forum to say how pleased I am with our new Elddis Crusader Cyclone. We had a Avondale 650/6 before it and the difference in quality is the difference between chalk and cheese! Bought at the NEC in Nov '08 and delivered in Jan 2009,We have yet to find a fault. Well, if you want to count the bedroom cupboard rubbing on the carpet when opened because of the thickness of the carpet I guess you can count that as a fault. Everything works superbly. Well done Explorer group. I am impressed!

We have a 2005 Elddis Crusader Storm bought in 2006 and we are 2nd owners. Note when it went into first service only problem was a magnetic door catch. We have done approx. 17,000 miles in Europe with the van and more miles in this country with only a couple of minor problems. Electric Loo button replaced and waste water hose leak later being came adrift with rough roads.

Think they are the best with Coachman a good runner up.

We bought a used 2001 Elddis Hurricane last year and we also are more that happy with it. We have just come back from 3 weeks in France and noticed how many older Elddises are about both on uk roads and over there, many much older than ours. They do seem to build them to last.

Sorry to disagree, but we've just traded our 2007 Elddis Odyssey 544 for a Swift Challenger 570. We prefer the Swift.
Hi Andy,

I see you prefer the Swift. Well, we are all different and have different priorities and tastes but I have read too much bad press about Swift, their faults and the after sales services to seriously consider one. I wish you many happy years of caravanning in her though.

Merve
