Thank you that clarifies the position. If they can achieve better quality by overseas manufacturing that will benefit future customers, competitor to Adria and Coachman perhaps. I hope their support to existing customers matches their words. Time will tell. But it’s sad it has had to come to this.

I thought one of the reasons British car companies were taken over, or failed, was because so many of their models were of poor quality. Hence the inroads of the Japanese into the car industry and motorcycle industry, and European ones too. But their reliability wasn’t always top notch when compared to Japanese and latterly Korean makes.
Singer,MG,Riley,Wolseley,Sunbeam,Humber, Rover etc etc.I wouldn't class these as poor quality, quite the opposite until "merged".

TIC I suspect the rising costs to Elddis of employer /employee ,energy, rates proved a burden too far. A very sad day for British manufacturing.

I know it’s not necessarily representative, but of all the makes discussed on the Forum, Elddis quality did seem to get proportionately more criticism, plus their customer support on warranty issues didn’t come across as good either. Perhaps the threat of offering better quality caravans, hopefully at attractive prices, with good customer support, might spur on the other companies too.
