Electric air awning pump

Hello

I'm looking at getting an electric pump for our Dometic Rally Pro Air Awning. I know Dometic do a pump but I'd prefer a cordless one if possible. I'm just wondering if anyone has one of these - a Vango Airbeam Tempest - Electric Tent & Awning Pump & USB Power Bank and whether it's any good and if it's compatible with the Dometic awnings.

Many thanks
Col

Not sure if it is compatible but I've got the Vango pump you mentioned and it's it does come with 3 fittings 1 I know fits my Vango awning not sure about the other 2 fittings, tis a great bit of kit.

I use a Sevylor 12v pump on my air awning. Plugs into the car or caravan 12v socket. I can set the pressure and it just gets on with the job Very quick, it inflated my 390 Sunncamp in less than 4 minutes, but its not cordless of course (conversley there is no risk of it ever having a flat battery)

Don’t know about that pump but we had a Gale pump made by Kampa ( who are now Dometic). Originally for a Kampa ( Dometic) awning. When this went pop we got a Vango awning. The Dometic pump wouldn’t fit it. Folks said it should but we tried every fitting it came with and it didn’t. If you have a Dometic awning, I would suggest a Dometic pump.

A big thanks for all the replies and info so far. After watching a couple of vids on YouTube and doing some research it sounds like the Vango pump is compatible with the majority of makes of awnings so I've ordered one. If it works then great, if not I'll get the Dometic one.

With my Kampa awning I use the Gale (Kampa/Dometic) pump, the real joy for me is that it fits my Kayak as well, making life easy as I now only need one pump for both 😎

Hi I use a portable 12v power pack to plug my Gale pump into saves having to plug into the car or caravan . Almost cordless

I thought I'd give some feedback/info as I've tried out my new Vango Airbeam Tempest Pump this morning on my Dometic awning and it works perfectly. It's a bit more expensive than the Dometic Gale pump but that's because it's wireless and rechargeable via a C type USB.
It's easy to use, quick and quiet. Simply set the correct psi for your awning and away you go. It also deflates and comes with 3 types of valve connectors.
I've got a rechargeable pump for my car and it's definitely less faff than wired ones.
