Electric hook ups

B) Hi all

last minute caravan out of action. Thinking of using a tent and want to use electric for kettle, cooler, lights.

How do I adapt my caravan lead so I can work a ganger for electric?

Sorry about your misfortune.

Don't adapt the caravan lead, just get a normal UK extension lead (3 gang) and chop the plug off. The local DIY store should stock a plug which fits the caravan lead, just wire it in.

.........too late for the OP but if you intend to use an electrical supply in a tent you should recognise the dangers and get a purpose built supply lead that has overload and earth leakage protection.

This product also warns you of reverse polarity if using a European supply.
