The gas and 12v side of my fridge is working O.K but the 240v mains does not cool my fridge at all but the green light comes on to indicate that power is coming through - is there anything i can check before calling in an engineer for it be fixed ............ Thanks alot for any help.Adam.
 
When this happened to mine it was the element. The other possibility would be the thermostat.

If you know what you're doing with a multimeter you could check the resistance.
 
The very same thing happened to me. It worked fine on gas and 12 volt but not on mains. As the previous author said it will be the element. That was what was wrong with mine. Ken
