emails re watched threads

Each time I post, particularly to start a new thread, I receive emails of the first reply. This is despite going to the 'manage watched threads' button and selecting the stop email button and entering. Is there any blanket way of preventing reply emails ?

Have you changed the settings as I suggested in your previous post?
