end bathroom wet carpet

I posted several months ago ref a leak in our end bathroom on 2003 Spectrum 540. Checked all suggested problem sources and yes, it's still there, and blighted yet another summer holiday with soaking carpet. Our annual service in June found nothing.

However, by further examination and elimination, I am now 99% sure it is the Thetford flush tank. The wet does not appear until several days into usage when the flush tank has been filled, and the fact I couldn't replicate the problem by washing and showering whilst at home, would indicate the toilet being the problem, as I didn't fill the flush during the test! We carried on using the toilet but stopped using the electric flush this holiday, dried the carpet, and bingo- no further wet.

I could take it back to our dealer, but I am keen to have a look myself at the flush tank and feed to the toilet bowl. I have had a quick look at the Thetford website for a parts breakdown, as there are no visible screws or fastenings on the toilet unit.

Has anyone done any exploratory work on the toilet from the inside of the van?

thanks, Mark
