Hi all, I am currently searching for European breakdown cover that gives up to 180 days in a single trip. after leaving site working in the New Forest, (site assistants for 6 months), we will be travelling to southern Italy for about 5 months. I am struggling to find the best package for 5.5 mtr Ldv Convoy self build, towing 8 mtr Swift Conqueror 630 TA.

There is only one - ADAC. Based in Germany, they give world-wide cover for any vehicle, and at around 25% of the price of British major companies.
And their cover works! I've been recovered twice and cannot fault them. 17,000,000 members world-wide can't be wrong.
 
I see what you mean, but as I read the website, if you join on-line, you must live in Germany!
Try ringing 0049 94152344. That's the head office in Munich, i believe. Ask for an English speaker, tell them you wish to join.
I use my Barclaycard to pay.
 
I've just checked again, and if you click the "join online" button it brings up an application form in English, with payment methods.
Try again, its worth it!
 
Did you get sorted with ADAC ? We have been with them for nearly 12 years now they are excellent and you are covered for 12 months for around £100
 
I seem to recall reading somewhere that if you called out ADAC twice in a year then your cover reduced to a basic level that was only valid in Germany. Might be worth checking the T&Cs.
 
I would normally use Red Pennent. But as this year decided not to take the caravan, so went for Green Flag "European" and found theis included Uk and European breakdown and caravan recovery. For an extra £4 . So I am happy with them.
 
have just had the opportunity to speak to Adac, on telling them about my set up re tow vehicle and caravan, they tell me that as the combined length is over 10 mtrs, then they cannot help. must be someone out there who will cover a 13 year old ldv convoy and a 7.95 mtr swift conqueror! Any pointers much appreciated.
