fading awning

i have just purchased a trio red awnig that as faded and am looking for some way of restoring the colour would be grateful of any advise.

thanks TIM

Tim,

The usual solution of re-dying faded fabric just won't work - unless you have a truly enormous washing machine and a very big packet of Dylon cold water dye - and then you have the not inconsiderable issue of re-proofing the fabric because dying will remove the water repellent coating.

Speak with the awning manufacturer, but I have the feeling that they will say that fabric fading is just a natural sign of age and use.
