Hi Paul, I realise this is a bit of a late response but we went to the Plassey near Wrexham for two weekends running recently. Saw it recommended on this website and booked straight away. There is a website at www.theplassey.co.uk. The staff are really friendly, there is a massive dog walking area, the loos and showers are spotless and there is a small pool for the kids (charge).

It is set on a complex that has various outlets, such as a boutique, blacksmiths, and farm made ice cream which is the best. Tea garden and coffe shop, restaurant and nine hole golf course, pub etc., etc., About 100 yards from the site entrance is a farm shop that sells great barbecue food. The site fees are also very reasonable. It sounds dead busy and is obviously popular as it was booked out both weekends, but it is in the middle of the coubtryside and loads of sheep and nosy cows. If you get chance go. I know it's not in either Cheshire or Lancashire but is only just over the border into North Wales. Best wishes, Roz
