I was reading the thread about St Jean de monts with interest and noticed that you said on the journey you averaged 12 mpg in your Shogun. We have just bought a Shogun and at Easter averaged 25 mpg travelling from Cornwall to the New Forest. We have a 2003 3.2 DID auto, what have you got. Denise

Hello Denise

I have a 2004 3.5 V6 Shogun Elegance LWB.

At best it returns 18mpg solo. If I set the cruise control to 55mph it will do about 26mpg but I have a very heavy right hence the high consumption.

Towing our twin axle van at 65-70mph results in 12mpg oh and with a roof box on the car also, it must be about as aerodynamic as a parachute.

PS......Shogun for sale....Very reliable-it will pass anything on the road other than a petrol station.

Towing at 65-70mph is not like towing a parchute more like a coffin.
