Hello Damian,
While I fully appreciate your reason for closing my previous post, may I ask that you make it absolutely clear to ProfJohnL that I have not nor ever been guilty of abusing this forum, or any of it's contributors.

Also I have never at any point been guilty of using multiple user names.
I asked a genuine question, I hold my hands up for being a little slow on the uptake, and for not seeing the wood for the trees.
All I ask is that contributors stop & think before making false accusations, I have always had the upmost respect for the prof, and would certainly not want to deliberately provoke an argument or unrest, if you think otherwise, then please remove me from this forum.

Like Damian, I too have been watching the nose weight topic as we do as a matter of course whenever an old topic is resurrected.
I've been a bit busy getting repairs done to my towing car otherwise it might have been me who responded but either way I'd have closed the topic as Damian has.
This was not to point a finger at anyone or to apportion blame for any harsh words or misunderstandings, whenever a thread begins to degenerate for whatever reason experience has taught both Damian and myself that it's usually best to leave the information that is on the thread but to close it to prevent any further misunderstandings no matter how they occur.
As far as we can ascertain your forum user name altered some time ago and there is nothing to suggest that you are using more than one name so there are no problems on that score.
Internet communication is a strange thing, we can't see each others faces or hear a tone of voice so misunderstandings and the occasional upset happens from time to time.
It's nobody's fault, it happens because of the way forums work so don't worry, we've seen it all before and will see it all again and it's no big deal.

As Parksy has said, the topic was closed as it had nowhere to go.
I am not accusing anyone of anything, or being duplicitous as far as user names are concerned.

It is not always easy to understand the technicalities of noseweight and there are so many differing views on the subject that becomes confusing.

If I had any concerns about the degeneration of the topic I would have deleted the whole thing and not left anything on the forum.

Sometimes it appears that the more in depth a subject is discussed the more difficult it is to understand.
Simple is best.

Thank you both very much, i wholeheartedly agree with what both of you have had to say on the subject, yes the whole thread was becoming increasingly hard to decipher, God help any newbies out there that might be trying to follow the thread!

My biggest concern was that the prof seemed to think I had an hidden agenda, and was hiding behind a pretence user name.

Hello John, & thank you. I can fully understand your concerns, very confusing with the user name change, I had not visited the site for a while & in the interim the forum format had changed, rather than try to re establish my old credentials I found it far easier to re-register, I'm sorry for any confusion this might have caused you, my intentions have always been honest & above board.
