Hello Hamer, Sorry haven't logged on for a few days. The car is lovely although feels very big and I haven't had to park it anywhere yet. We live in a very rural area with lots of cornish lanes, really narrow and I do dread meeting anyone and having to reverse. I'm sure I will get used to it. There is already a tow pack on it with single electrics, but i'm not sure about the 'spacer' you mentioned. How will this affect us hitching up? Also can we get a second electric point put on? Anyhow back to the car went on a longish run yesterday, very comfortable, not as noisy as I thought once its warmed up and the children love the extra space at the back, we have three under 5, and their seats fit along the back seats and they can't even kick the back of our seats like they used to!!! My husband can't wait to tow again (Easter) to feel the difference. Regards Denise.

Hello Denise,

We have had Reversing sensors fitted by our Mitsubishi dealer. They are excellent and help when reversing in a straight line and round a tight corner.

The one and a half inch (sorry i am old fashioned) spacer bar fits between the tow bar and the tow ball. This means the tow ball sticks out a further one and a half inches. This means when you are hitching up your Alko Stabiliser handle does not foul your soare wheel.

Your Mitsubishi dealer or any good towbar centre will install a 12S (grey) socket for you. Tell them the year of your caravan as caravans built before a certain date are wired differently.

My wife loves the reversing sensors as you can reverse to within 10cm at which point the buzzer changes from intermitant to permanent.

Hope this helps.

Denise...before you have another socket fitted to the car check to see if the car socket already fitted is the single 13 pin euro socket?

If it is you will need to buy a single to twin socket adaptor and cable to connect both your caravan plugs to the car socket.
