I seem to remember that you daughter is working in the Loire, hence your trip and comment on the A28.

In case it is of interest, are you aware of Ryan Air flights from Stanstead to Tours and Poitier. Even with a few days car hire it can be a remakable saving if you get a flight for around £10 and more time with your daughter instead of travelling the Autoroutes.

What a memory you have. We have had so many things go wrong, hubby needs op, then finds out he has coeiacs, after 6 months of hell and aggravation we have now just exchanged contracts for our house. Daughter has to go to hospital tomorrow. I've been offered a job a long last, but haven't had time to ring and except it.

We did manage to get there last week but we decided and booked literally the day before, we had a window of 3 days.

The way feel we could now do with a complete break. huh no chance of that. Roll on August and our holiday and hopefully bliss.....
