Any one been to any of these campsites this summer

Le Logis du Breiul nr Royan

L'Estanquet also nr Royan/La Palmyre

Val Vert

Thinking of going for two weeks next July

One mans meat is another mans poison but I have stayed at Logis De Bueil Nr Royan and was far from impressed no matter where your pitch is you are a long way from the site facilities,for some reason there is a large area of nothing between the vans and the reception,shop ,pool etc and you are even further away if you do not want to be in full sun all day.The toilets were always at full stretch but end of August may be better.Finally if you are in the shaded area,that is pine trees, watch out for falling pine cones they are the size of small footballs and make a real mess of cars vans or people that they hit.I would be interested o hear what you think when you get back.

Is there anywhere you have stayed and actually enjoyed or are you a typical brit who isn't happy unless you have something to complain about.

Stayed at Le Logis last August. Lovely site, huge pitches, mixture of Dutch French and mainly Brits. Yes, amenities are a bit of a walk but no real problem. Not much happening at nights though so goes very quiet after 10:30. It's an affiliated CC site. Owners speak good english and many folk we talked to return year in year out. Looking to go back next year. Huw

Karen.I have only just picked up your somewhat snide remarks,I have stayed at dozens of sites all over France in the many years of touring there and this is and one other are the only sites I did not like.I see little point in you posting a thread asking for peoples opinions on a site if when you get them you find it appropriate to be rude to those who take the trouble to respond,I hope you enjoy your stay there and you never know you might come back and feel the overwhelming urge to say sorry!In case I fail to give the response that you are seeking I will avoid answering any other posts of yours.Consider yourself reprimanded!

Plotter, bet your glad your not on the next pitch to her! It's a strange thing about the forum, a question is asked, and when a response is given which is contary to what the poster wants to hear, a blast comes back. My pet hate is people who ask a technical question, normally when they have a problem, and don't acknowledge the responses - makes me wonder why bother answering?

Anyway don't give up, I am sure there are people who appreciate your input. Ray

Ray (c) Thats far to scary to imagine but yes you make the point well the only saving grace is that she is going in July but I am going to France in June worryingly to a site not all that far from where she will be ,I think I might ask her if she has been there and what she thinks and then I can be rude back!
