fiat stilo towing slow job

hi just been giving a sterling alicante 390/2 cant find any info about van on the net i drive a fiat stilo 1.6 and towed the van back from doncaster to newcastle without a prob no snakeing it was my first for towing the only thing it was a slow job do you think i should change my car ?

hello gary,ive also got a stillo.we tow a 1200kg van when loaded.ours is a 140jtd and although its not slow,it will tootle along at 60mph all day long in top gear and wont drop off on the hills at all .i sometimes feel its a bit light really but weve never had any bad moments yet.i,d say if you can maintain 60mph on the flat its sound.

thanks for that it did stay at 60 ok but a bit slower up hills
