any suggestions on use of aqua source to fill an onboard tank - seems very expensive. is it possible to use an ordinary hose pipe?

We use an aqua roll, but keep the drinking water seperate in a container inside the caravan, in case there is some contamination in the aqua roll that we dont know about. On our Bailey we have an external pump and i fill the on board tank from the Aqua roll, dont all caravans with on board tanks have this.
I don't find it obtrusive either (screws removed to floor)Am I alone in liking the onboard tank and filling system in the current Bailey Senators? I fill our Oklahoma's tank from the Aquaroll whose capacity is slightly less than the onboard tank so water escaping from the inspection hatch should not be an issue. I can't believe any water would get past my hatch cover as it is really well screwed down.
Lastly, regarding the pump noise. I posted elsewhere that I don't think the pump is noisy but it is a different noise compared with the external pump which Bailey previously used. That external pump made a serious whining noise, especially when the Aquaroll emptied but the inboard pump is a deeper noise though, as I say, i don't find it obtrusive.
