Stayed for 5 day's last week, thought i would pass on my comments on this new site.Its a good one for the places to see in the area.The site is excellant for the facilities, and at the back of the site there is good views over the country side.It is well kept .My only concern being a light sleeper was road and train noise the latter run all night. You cannot even see the railroad but it echo's up the valley and last week the toilet block heating was making a noise but was being repaired soon.Never the less we had a good time.
 
Hi Robert, we stayed at Firs for 10 nights, service pitch just behind the toilet block facing the views, did not hear the road traffic but did hear the trains, We did see the rail track saw severall trains , briefly as they went round a curve before they ran into a cutting.

Saw plenty of hot air balloons across the hills

Did not fancy the lower part of the site with the grass pitches,After taking the dog for a walk facing the children racing down the hill on scooters and scate boards made the ascent a bit hairy.
