Hi Chris i see you got your awning up lucky you kept some decent pegs well done ;)

Awning was VERY useful today with the constant rain showers. My caravan is fitted with a stabiliser and I needed to sand the paint off my tow ball, I only had to tow it a short distance here. Gave up waiting for the rain to stop, a whole side of it unzipped and reversed car into it! Handy to know I can do that in future in case I need to any repairs on site.

Had to empty the karzi today. Was hoping to be able to last till tomorrow, but that scrumpy I've been drinking took it's toll! I was quite impressed actually. The facilities for toilet emptying were very well designed making the process as least unpleasant as possible. Big jobs have been strictly in the toilet block which probably helps. Nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.

I empty our Woosie Bucket every day, nothing worse than finding it raining and everything is full.

A word of warning when emptying the Woosie box. Leave the cap as far away as possible from the drain. I have seen on 2 occasions the person emptying the cassette accidentally knocking the cap which then disappeared down the hole. Air generally turned blue. Never seen anyone fishing one out of the Elsan point. :D

That's one thing I'm always conscious of. I usually put it well out of the way but perhaps a long length of string around it might be a backup solution for when my mind is on higher things at the time.

And also on your glasses if you wear them. Lost mine into the Woosie Bucket, It certainly makes you clean them very well. 😭

Yes - my filler cap remains on the floor during the emptying process, and all loose items are secured before engagement.

Accidently dropping the top down the drain is not only a complete nuisance yourself but can easily cause a blockage and all the problems and expense that can bring. Why then do not all sites simply provide a soap dish screwed nearby to put it in. So simple and effective.

Having carefully placed the screw cap away from the edge of the emptying point I somehow managed to drop the sliding cover down the drain. Still don’t know how. Fortunately it wedged in the outlet pipe of the Elsan point and by leaning right in, 🤮I grabbed it with the barbecue tongs.
Burger anyone?

Best thing I've done for the Awning / sun canopy erection (apart from the kneeling pads as above) is to ditch the lump hammer and buy a set of screw in pegs and my 12v bosch impact driver. Much quicker and doesn't irritate my tennis elbow.
Enjoy your van.

Many of us have done the same. Just wish I could find a long extender for socket so do not have to bend down when removing pegs. Bad enough when putting them in. Next time Jeeves can do the job! LOL!

The last few caravan club sites I’ve used have screwed the bottom half of the a toilet fluid container to the wall for that purpose.. it works and costs nothing. Great idea.

Almost every Honey bucket , emptying point that I have seen , have had the final exit , just big enough to let the cap through, a 1/2 inch smaller and you could retrive that cap.

You only make that mistake once 😉. Now then Chris, you need to know the Woosies use their facility for everything. Nothing barred. Elsan double works wonders. Even baby wipes are pure liquid after an hour. Like Hutch we empty ours daily no matter how little or much it is used. Keeps everything sweet😉

I'll give that one a miss.
Not sure if I am wrong but I do not move the sliding cover and just put the rinse water in the waste outlet pipe.
