Of a 2023 Elite 480 . base on the Challenger 480.
First service today Sailed through, BUT
Over the year van has been back to the dealer for:-

Omivent not working. wired wrongly.

New thermo coupling for gas cooker..

Solar panel not charging.

Light switch in Kitching again not wired correctly.

All repaired.

Other items I've fixed myself.

Splash back needed fixing.in bathroom.

cupboards doors needed levelling.

As I said, sailed through service, carried out by an independent mobile
engineer.

Think I got away lightly as far as new vans go. Van is brilliant.

That’s why I’ve always purchased. 2nd hand because the time I’ve got hold of it the bugs have been ironed out and I’ve saved a mint on depreciatio.

Until you buy the 2018 van that we traded in after only 12 months of ownership last year as I couldn’t stand the constant trips back to the dealer for warranty work any longer. Even then they found yet more damp in another place. It was put on the forecourt and sold within 6 weeks. 2 months later they rang us to say that the part that we had waited 8 months for ( at the time of trading in) to sort some water ingress around a window was now in and would we like to book the van in. Clearly sold with this unrepaired.
Buyer Beware

Pity you ad the problems. If you had these when to report when you collected it it does show very poor construction and poor checking by the dealer
. Good that all is well ow though and you are very happy with it.

I smugly thought that our current caravan had escaped all of the assembly bugs that seem to strike other caravans. It goes back to Swift for a complete new side in December......................
