We are thinking of wintering at C&CC rally in Spain, traveling out in November till February but then flying home for the Xmas period.
Have anyone done this, if so any advice on things to check on.

Lots of things to bear in mind ......but people do do what you intend.

You do not say if you have towed in Spain before or whether at the time of year you mentioned.
What will your route be and your destination?......Spain is a big country!

Many Brits think of ......Sunny Spain........ and it is sunny on the south coast during the months you mention but you have to get there first.
This picture was taken north of Madrid on January 30th 2014 on the way south.
The temperature was -5 deg C at an altitude of 5000ft.

Many thanks for your reply.
We are thinking of travelling from Caen down through central France to the med and then down the Spanish coast motorway to Almalfa rally.
We have been to Spain before, attending a rally at Playa Troppicana for 2 weeks in Nov 2012. Then we travelled down the Atlantic coast to the Larrouleta site, into Spain and via Zaragoza to Valencia.
This was our first rally with the club. We have been caravanning since 1981 and been to France several times.
What we are not sure about is the ease of flying back and leaving the caravan for 2weeks.

........I don't have any experience of leaving a caravan in Spain myself but have spoken to people who have.
They have all said that the get someone they know who is staying on the site to keep an eye on it whilst they are away........this may not be so easy on a rally.

A lot of folks go to the same site every winter and get quite a community going.

We have been doing this, but from Portugal for the last few years. The site we use is very secure and we leave our car on the site as well. i would suggest you try for a discount for the time you are away - you never know.
We use Ryanair and we have had no problems with them, abide by their rules and its all OK.
The first time we did it, we flew home at the end of November and then back mid January. We were amazed at how cheap the flights were, they have gone up a bit since then though.
