No, it's not a new type of lawnmower, it's the roof of my caravan, as all the local insects (and birds) seem to have been using it as a loo this summer. I've just been out to give the 'van a pre-outing freshen-up, and have spent ages with a white scourer trying to get rid of all the poo specks. Of course, at this time of year the birds are all pigging out on blackberries, so I had a pink bespeckled work of avian graffiti to clear off, too. Oooh, lovely. Maybe I should invest some energy in coating the 'van with some polish, perhaps the offending excrement might not adhere so well?

I can agree with your sentiment on this we had some lovely new white bedding that ended up with lots of little black dots courtesy of Cornwall fly population, we had to treat each one separately with vanish soap bar before washing to get rid of it.
Also to answer your question about polish, go and get some carnuba wax it is better than anything else I have used and lasts longer.

Carnuba wax? Never heard of it? I used what was in the cupboard; Triplewax Aqua Glaze. I used it last on the Elddis I used to have, and as usual, was very pleased with the result. The lovely thing about the Gobur Carousel is the fact that you can reach the roof without wobbling about on an extending ladder! While I miss the Avante, I don't miss the vertigo during the cleaning sessions! The other great thing about the folding caravan is that the water runs off the roof fore and aft, so the sides of the caravan don't get mucky at all when the 'van is left standing. :) Anyway, it will be interesting to see how long the shine lasts after this polishing effort.
