Tesco Cirencester yesterday had no fresh uncut crusty farmhouse loaves. I was told by the baker there that after lunch all whole loaves get sliced and wrapped so they last a day longer. Otherwise left uncut they go in the bin the same day.
Aldi have changed their checkout method. Previously if you have 20 bottles of coke you put one through and the till staff log 20 having checked the trolley. Now due to high levels of theft, you have to completely empty the entire trolley and each individual bottle goes through!

Cannot see why a cut loaf should last longer, but throwing them away would be a serious waste.

‘Throwing away’ might mean giving them to charity. But this is Cirencester, Range Rover country.

Ha ha😁It’s probably a Tesco Company Policy. The fresh fish and deli counter have been removed, all part of cost saving!
