Daniel

If you answer my earlier post we may get a better idea of your intentions. Even with our little Halfords trailer on the back, the Calibra was struggling for grip. I suspect the Cougar will be no different.

As for work , there was no need for that sarcastic comment. I've worked for 38 years. The way pensions are today I cannot see a permanent retirement will ever be an option for most of us.

Cheers

Alan
Alan the work comment was not aimed at you.

Daniel,

May I be so bold as to offer you some advice?

When asking for help, sometimes you won't get an answer you're looking for! if & when thats the case it is considered to be impolite to reply in the manner that you did in your initial responce to John L!

In future, if asking for help on this or any other forum please respect other peoples opinions (in the for of their reply to your enquiry) otherwise you may find that you might not get any replies at all!

Remember, civility costs nothing, but goes an awful long way!

It's rumoured that Emmerson only makes promises not threats Dan and that there is also a Hannibal Lecter character amongst the Caravanning fraternity ;0)

Be afraid very afraid, of your own attitude ;0)

You haven't exactly helped your cause have you, people here offer what advice they can, you don't have to be rude.

Personally I always thought most Germans had access to homes Lutz.

If being "homourless" is Daniel's problem Lutz he may be living in his Cougar and just be desperate to get a home behind it ;0)
Whoops, another typo error

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Please lets just 'cool off' a bit.

Daniel is perfectly at liberty to ask a serious question and to expect reasonable replies. If he does not get the answers to the questions he thinks he has asked, he is entitled to be dissatisfied.

It is not fair to make fun or ridicule anyone for their views, and we should respect his desire for serious answers only.

He has suggested that this thread should end, and I agree, as it seems the way some of the replies are are heading, it may be in danger of becoming too personal.

Daniel ,

in an attempt to bring this round to helping you out.

Are you thinking of buy this type of car? as some of the comments made about its handling should be of interest to you. This will affect how it tows , if indeed it is capable of towing.

Secondly , if you feel it would make a tow car , have you checked you can actually get a tow bar for it?

As some have alluded to , if its not considered to be a suitable tow car few places would actually make a one for it. That in itself would make it difficult to consider.

Ford themselves may be a good starting point to check this out.

Finally folks on this site are generally very helpful and quite often will pass on info that triggers you to think differently.

Johns initial posting , whilst didn't directly answer your specific question , should hopefully have prompted you to investigate the Cougar suitability in greater depth , to make sure you are fully sure of its ability to fit your needs.

Hope you are successful in your quest and please keep dropping by this site as it may help you in the future.

John,

If you don't have any positive input in the subject then please don't post as clearly you now nothing a bought the Cugar or its towing capacities or limits. It is rated to tow I wanted to hear from people who use this car for towing.
Blimey Daniel, that's a bit a strong!! If you look back at John's other posts you will see he is a very knowledgeable man and he's not one for winding people up. Are you sure you don't mean the Ford KUGA?
