Forum server problem his moddyship

Hi Chaps.

This morning I painstakingly typed a tree paragraph reply to a thread about caravans turning over, only to have it wiped out by our good collegue Lutz. Now it was not his fault at all. Purely by coincidence we must of submitted both replies at precicely the same time.

But it was painful to me as I've just had a major operation to grind off excess bone which had trapped the tendons in my shoulder, which ment I was typing "cag handed" and it took me half an hour to do it. I'm down to about ten words/min instead of the usual 50.

Please can you get the techies to have a look at the server and see if they can boost the processing capability.

What I'm gonna do now is to use my MS word to write with and then I can save the copy, just in case we have another russian reulet sitch. At least then I can copy/paste.

Mind you I think Lutz and I couldget rich if we got a few bets laid on to that happening again.

I'll step "gently" off my soap box and see you all later.

ATB Steve.

I have found over the last couple of days that I keep getting the white page with server error on it as I try to navigate between topics, is this Lutz as well?

I'm having the same problem though, too, Steve. To be on the safe side, I'm now copying my replies before sending them off. That way, if the system breaks down, at least I don't have to type everything all over again.

Simple fix is to highlight the text in the "post message" box, and Ctrl+c. Then if it fails to post, just hit "reply to topic" again and Ctrl+v.

(And ironically I have just had to do that 3 times to get this reponse to post).

I get the impression that it's getting worse. Whereas yesterday the system hiccupped only about every third or fourth time, I now sometimes need about three or four attempts to get just one step forward.

I do the same as Lutz, for sometime now I've got into the habit of copying my post before submitting. One day Haymarket will move into this century.

The only way I can jump from topic to topic is to double click very quickly. Otherwise I get the server unavailable message

Sorry about the breakdown in service over the weekend. Typical that it should go wrong when the techies are away for the weekend.

It seems to be working again this morning being Monday - typical!

Sorry to break it to you Mod1 but I'm still having problems accessing some forums, and the site doesn't seem too keen on me logging in either, keeps displaying the white server error page in both cases.
