we use a freeview box but ours dont work with the fixed omini ariel so we bought a ariel that attaches on the side of the van by clips and put the wire through the side window, and with a bit of twisting we get a lot better picture ,we also use this ariel now instead of our omini as the picture is a lot better i think it cost us about
 
Jim we got the new directional ststus arial on our new bailey bought a 8" lcd built in freeveiw from maplins realy depends where you are as some places better than others we do alot of rallys so on 12volt most of time but never failed to get some channals if not all try to see what direction other arials are pointing as we get near site then lift as high as will go then adjust angle then let digi find its own channels hope this helps Bill

After doing what you say try picking a weak station and then fine tune using small movements to get the signal strength and quality (more important) up.

Then scan again.

We usually find this brings in a few extra stations in weak signal areas.
