Hi

I have just connected 2x batteries in line on my caravan.

There is an inline fuse connected but when purchased there was no fuse.

Please can you tell me what amp fuse goes in this holder to the battery.

Not sure what you mean.... are they leisure batteries and what do you mean by "in line".

I thought batteries could only be connrcted in series or parallel?

It depends upon how much current you are going to draw. Is the fuse between the two batteries or after the 'downstream' battery? If you are using a motormover, the cable should be heavy enough to handle 100amps.

A standard supply side battery fuse is usually 20A.

Hello Tony,

Your description of your battery arrangements suggests that you are not fully conversant with electrical terminology.

As such I cannot be sure I understand what you have done or hope to do, and I am concerned that any advice given may not be interpreted fully or safely.

If you are not absolutely certain of what you are doing, then please refer the job to someone who does.

Although 12V dc will not give you a shock, batteries of this size have more than enough capability of starting a fire if the wiring is not correctly managed.

Thanks for all the comments.

I will take your advise John L and seek advise down at my local caravan centre.
