Fuses

Where can I get the right beige 5 amp fuse for my swift challenger I tried a 5 amp orange car fuse but it was a bit thinner and jumps out

Take your blown fuse and toddle along to Halfords - if they can't find the right fuse you don't have much hope!

One not shown above and of which I haven't been able to find a picture is what was originally a ceramic body and is now a higher temp plastic-bodied fuse. You can spot these as the only way you can see the fuse wire is to look down through a slot in the top - the body is opaque.

Clear forgot about the ceramic type, not seen one for ages.. A good job perhaps.

go to any motor accessory factors shop, you'll get them there. These fuses are not specifically caravan fuses( there's no such thing)

I am in agreement with Woodentop go Halfords with your blown fuse I am sure they will help you out

Talking about fuses , only couple of weeks ago I spoke about getting our caravan ready and all was well. Well, today went into it and put the light on which did not work?. Replaced the 10a fuse and all was well. Just before binning it I put my tester on it only to find it was sound . Gremlins again.

I had similar last year, caravan onto the driveway, everything worked except the Truma submersible pump. , so cleaned the contacts, still nothing, changed the pump for our spare, Whale with Truma fitting,
still nothing, fuse had blown, replaced fuse, Whale pump worked, Tried the Truma, blew the fuse, Turned the Truma impeller with a screwdriver, changed fuse again, all good again.

If anyone is interested Buckman has a Whale to Truma pump for sale in "The Marketplace" well worth it.

Same here. Just before departure last year as L1 lifted I brought the van home to get it checked out. The internal Flojet pump was totally dead. Normal electric checks showed supplies okay. So took pump out and stripped it down. After reassembly bit still did not work. We were all set to go away and accept we had no pump but found a specialist pump supplier who sent me one express delivery. So on morning of departure pump quickly clamped into place and worked perfectly. Price was about half that if caravan accessory outlets too.
