Two teenage children who need a pool

Husband who likes his peace and quiet with no club

Wife who does not like to share a site with static caravans

Try Widend Touring Site at Marldon nr. Paignton. There is a beautiful outdoor heated pool, small clubhouse for a quiet drink (no shows - definately not Hi-De-Hi), ten static vans for family use only. Although it does not initially meet up to your initial specification I think you will enjoy the site. It is spotless regarding shower/toilet facilities and very quiet and peaceful. It is a family run site for families - no single sex parties allowed. We have been going there for many years and have never had any reason to complain. It is very central for Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and Totness - 10 minute drive to each.

Hi Craig

have you considered a site located near a beach thats within walking distance.

Would that solve the kids desire for a pool? afterall they could do far more on the beach than at a pool , ie surfing , bodybording etc.

If thats a solution you'll widen your choices.

Sorry this site is also not in Devon or Somerset. The site is called Seaview International in Cornwall about a twenty minute drive from St Austell on the coast at a place called Boswinger.Great outside pool, massive kids play area away from all caravans,so very few kids running around near the caravans, peacfull great facillities, well kept, friendly and helpfull, sea views, statics well away from tourers over the road infact in thier own site.but about four just inside main gate as you drive in,and no pubs or clubs.Expensive site but well worth it,try their website.Regards Rich

Hi

Same as the others not in the area that you are looking at but Wareham Forest in Dorset sounds like the site you are after.

It has a pool, no club & no tourers. We have been going there for the last 3 years.

If this isn't for you, I hope you find something.

Cheers for now

Hi Craig,

If you're willing to consider Dorset then Haven Littlesea, in Weymouth, is one to look at.

We stayed there for a weekend back in March and were very impressed.

The touring park is totally separate from the rest of the site and seems like it's run independently. You have to drive right through the main site to get to the touring site but, once there, it's quiet and relaxing with helpful wardens and a spotless toilet and shower block.

The touring site is in a quiet spot on the edge of a lagoon with views out over the Chesil Bank, while the Haven facilities are just a short walk away.

Hillhead cc site. pool, small club house not really noisy, excellent facilities. area is beautiful really close to dartmouth which is so pretty and beautiful. brixham is also nice and has shops and a lovely harbour. i would recommend this site but some pitches need to have your van tracktored on. dont pitch near the play area. if you have a twin axel inform them when you book.
