Gas safety

I often have friends sleep over in the awning and will do so again soon but on a site without mains hookup. Is there any danger to the awning occupants from the fridge exhaust gases, ie with the fridge running on gas? I would have thought that there is plenty of ventilation, but have never seen it highlighted as a safety concern.

Hello Alan,

You are right to ask the question, but you have also answered it. The amount of flue product the fridge produces is quite small, and the awning is even when it is fully zipped still breathes quite a lot.

The gas safety regs would not allow a manufacture to design the fridge to vent in an awning if there was any significant danger.

Thanks John - peace of mind and all that.
