Been caravanning for 20 yaers,Best advice stick to 85% rule, and never overload the van, Give plenty of space on the road for other to over take you, so they don"t cut you up good luck .trevor
 
Always ensure there is ice and cold tonic in the fridge for the post-pitching gin and tonic (oh, and it helps to remember to bring the gin).
 
Never believe a Londoner, never trust a scouser, never fight a jock and don't even try to understand a jordie.
 
once you have hitched the caravan onto the towball wind the jockey wheel down so that you can see the car lifting slightly and do it without anyone talking to you.been caravanning 30 years got distracted once and caravan came off!!!
 
construct a packing list on your computer as detailed as you like. This has saved us having to purchase another set of rainwear at the first shower. It also means that you can stop in a layby on the way for a comfort break and find all essentials close to hand in the washroom!
 
Never ever forget the missus, imaging pulling onto a site and feeling hungry and theres no one to do the grub and get a pint pulled, dreadfull.
