GPS Locations

Hi,

Please can anyone tell me the best way to identify the Latitude and Longitude for French Campsites? I'm particularly looking for Caravaning Les 4 Vents.

Satnav, given address and post code should do well but try

37 25.818'N, 122 05.36'W for 77610 Crevecoeur-en-Brie.

Cut and paste address in to Google earth and away you go !

Thanks Folks. I went to poihandler.com and listed all the French campsites. This website is great.

Location listed is 2.89708 48.75063

So that's three different locations so far!

Try going on www.mappy.com and check out quality aerial photos and see if you can pin point site entrance on the road. Then try with Google.

As a point of interest, if you mix up the latitude and longitude, you end up in the Indiam Ocean, just of the cost of Somalia.

Mappy is fantastic, the clarity of the photos are great - much better than Google.

Anyway, tried the co-ordinates I gave above and when I compare Google with Mappy, I can see I'm taken right to the entrance of the campsite - spot on.

The clarity of the photos are so good, I've already chosen which pitch I want.
