Grand cherokee electrics

Im to connect a 12S socket to the car, but dont fancy running the postive front to back, does anyone know if Jeep provide this already, but tucked up in the loom this being a 4X4.

Many thanks for any assistance.

Chris, I have a 2004 Cherokee -not Grand- and it has an electronic unit in the fusebox somewhere, to which a pair of cables from the battery were taken directly via 2 in line fuses, by the dealer when the 12N and S sockets were fitted. I have not been able to trace the grey cable wiring from the socket despite much searching.

The only reason I know this unit, is that the fridge was not charging when towing and it turned out to be electronic unit that was faulty. Hope this helps.

If you run the cable yourself at least you'll know that it's been done properly and that a heavy enough cable has been used. It should take you only about half an hour to do a neat job, running the cable behind trim and under the carpet. You'll find that the loom probably runs down one side of the vehicle already.
