Hi Alan

We stayed here with our caravan a few years ago. It was a compromise we had with our teenage sons that we would go to a more commercial site before travelling over to and touring the NW coast of Scotland. We're more CL with sea view and few facilities types.

The site has a pleasant indoor pool. Some of the central area was not really to our taste with slot machines, club, etc but our boys enjoyed it. Shop was quite expensive.

We were able to pitch our van right next to the beach with lovely views etc. The touring part seemed to be rather left to itself - pitches not clearly marked. This led to a dispute with an arriving regular complaining we were on their pitch. Toilet block okay but not brilliant. The crazy golf was good fun.

There was not a lot to do in the immediate local area. Tiny, not pretty village next to the site. We had a pleasant walk along the coast toward Dornoch.

It depends what sort of site you like. It may have changed since we stayed there.

Happy hols

Tim

Hi Alan,

As Tim said, it really depends what you are looking for.

We went there in two years ago in our pre-touring days and our two kids (9 and 11 at the time) absolutely loved it and I know if we gave them a free choice of site to visit it would be top of their list.

Yes, it is on the commercial side, but on a small scale and its in a great position, being by the beach. There isn't much to do in the immediate area, but if you are willing to travel a bit there are places around.

The only thing that might not appeal to some people is that military jets use the area for training, but it didn't concern us.

Wherever you go in Scotland, it's a great place. Have a marvellous time.
