grease or not?

as i am new to the world of caravans i am wanting to know weather or not i should use grease on my tow ball or not !

I dont have a new al-ko stabalizer hitch but do have a bulldog stabalizer bar. can any one help?

The only time you should never grease the tow ball is if you use a stabiliser such as a winterhoff WS 3000 or Al-ko stabiliser that use integrated friction pads in the hitch that relies on a dry tow ball.

If you use the more traditional external stabiliser arm that rests on a bracket attached to the caravan A-frame then there is no problem using grease.

If you change your hitch to an integrated stabiliser then use brake cleaner to get rid of all the grease
