Grinding Noise whilst Towing

Hi Whilst out last weekend i noiced a grinding noise from the rear of the car, had not had this before, pulled over to check but everything seemed fine?? Any ideas

What stabilser do you use

If you have a damper fitted, especially the 'Clamp on the ball' type, it could be that.

Either type if contaminated it will grind usually at low speed and when turning

Sorry in either case cleaning the pads in the Alko with brake cleaner or take blade type apart and clean of the glaze and put back together.

Only had this happen once, it was when bringing the mother-in-law back from Wales.

The grinding of teeth is far worse than a stabiliser, and a damn site harder to shut up.

This happened to me last year it eas rust on the towball it needs to be clean, I use very fine wet & dry now & its ok, happy towing.
